The corporate interview will consist of meeting with 2-3 key employees from the Tire Discounters Leadership Team.

How should I dress for an interview?

You should always dress to impress. What this entails can vary based on the position you are being considered for. For example; whenever coming to the corporate office for an interview you should always dress professionally in order to put your best foot forward. Wearing a suit and tie or professional dress would be the preferred dress code for a corporate interview. Interviewing for a position in the shop? Your best suit certainly wouldn't make sense in this scenario, but you should still dress appropriately. What not to wear. You should never show to up any interview wearing tattered or stained jeans/pants, tank tops, t-shirts, wrinkled or dirty clothes. In addition, no matter what the position you should always come well groomed and presentable. This is your opportunity to make your best first impression. The more effort you put into making yourself presentable, the more it shows you care about yourself and the image you portray to others.

How should I prepare for an interview?

Know about the company. You don't need to know everything about the company, but the more you know the more it shows you really have an interest in the company. You should know what industry, services and products the company sells. Knowing the core values and company culture are also valuable. Be prepared to ask questions. Think of some questions you might have prior to the interview and write them down. Prepare yourself for the interview. Have a friend or family member pretend to interview you, so when you have the actual interview, you'll feel better prepared and more comfortable.

What should I bring?

Bring copies of your resume. If you don't have one there are many programs out there to help you build one. You should also bring a pen and pad of paper to take notes and write down any questions that may come to mind before or during the interview.

What types of questions will I be asked?

The number of questions and the detail needed per question will vary per position. Many questions will start with, "Tell me about a time..." or, "Give me an example of when..." In these types of questions we are looking for examples of personal experiences. When answering questions it is important to be true to yourself. Give real and honest answers. Don't just give us the answer you think we want to hear.

What if I don't know how to answer a question?

That's okay. If you need further clarification please ask. We can rephrase the question in a way that may make better sense to you. If you don't know how to answer or have never had an experience to relate, just be honest. Don't try to make up answers.
