Family-owned Tire Discounters is honored to have raised $40,000 to support Wounded Warrior Project® during its fundraising event held across 135+ stores during the first two weeks of October. Tire Discounters customers generously donated $19,934 and Tire Discounters donated the remainder by contributing a one-dollar donation per customer for social media shares and visits to the store to achieve a total of $40,000, nearly doubling last year’s donation. “Tire Discounters is proud to support veterans through this donation and by employing many reservists, active duty, veterans, and their spouses,” Charles Curlee, Tire Discounters Vice President Retail Sales, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Funds raised in support of Wounded Warrior Project® will provide programs and services for warriors, which include access to mental and physical health care, employment assistance, and education services. “The support we receive from Tire Discounters helps Wounded Warrior Project empower, employ, and engage warriors in their communities. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, warriors never pay a penny for our programs – because they paid their dues on the battlefield,” said Gary Corless, Chief Development Officer at WWP.
